Bagambiki.

INGA supports the Petition demanding the U.N. to arrest Nkunda for war crimes‏‏

The Congolese Community of Northern California–INGA Association is throwing its full support behind a petition demanding the U.N. to immediately arrest Laurent Nkundabatware (Nkunda) for war crimes

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 04, 2008 – The Northern California Community Organization of Congolese-Americans and Friends known as INGA Association announced its full support for the newly launched online petition www.gopetition.com/online/23604.html demanding the U.N. mission in Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC) to arrest Nkunda immediately for crimes against humanity. In 2005, a Congolese court issued an international arrest warrant for Nkunda, a war criminal and terrorist in the Great Lakes region, but MONUC has done nothing about arresting him.

INGA Association is organizing a peaceful demonstration outside the United Nations Plaza in San Francisco, on December 15, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. It is where the United Nations Charter was signed in the Herbs Theatre in 1945, leading to the creation of what is now known as the United Nations. According to the President of the INGA Community, Mr. Delphin Kyubwa, Nkunda continues to kill innocent civilians in North Kivu and his unprovoked attacks have uprooted more than 250,000 families, bringing the total of displaced families by the conflict in Kivu to nearly 1 million. If the United Nations calls the current crisis in eastern Congo ”a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented catastrophic dimensions,” but does nothing to arrest the war criminal and terrorist Nkunda, then what should they be doing in the D.R. Congo, said Mr. Kyubwa.

The United Nations Security Council recently voted to send additional 3,000 more troops to the Congo following renewed fighting in the country's eastern region. The increase means the peacekeeping mission in Congo, MONUC, will have about 20,000 troops and police on the ground - the biggest UN force but is being criticized for not taking action to arrest Nkunda. There is no reason why the MONUC should continue to refuse to arrest Nkunda. "This must stop and Nkunda must be arrested and tried for war crimes" added INGA General Secretary, Mr. Fidele Mutima.

According Mrs. Batala Webster, Director of INGA’s Women Committee, the majority of the victims are women and children who lose their parents on the runaway and who sometimes find themselves with no single living parent in the displaced camps. ING Association, completely denounce the failure of MONUC to arrest Nkunda who was issued international arrest warrant for crimes against humanity and war crimes. The Organization calls on concerned people around the world outraged with the killing of innocent civilians, abductions, sexual violence, and the use of children by force as guerrilla fighters to send a strong global unified message to U.N. mission in Congo (MONUC) that Nkundaa must be arrested immediately by signing the online petition. "In all fairness, Nkunda must be arrested to stand trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity in eastern Congo," added Mrs. Mrs. Annie Zombil, INGA’s General Treasurer.

According to Mr. Makuba T. Sekombo, a volunteer for the “www.ArrestNkundNow.org” movement, "It is simply not acceptable for the UN to refuse to arrest a person suspected of war crimes because that contradicts its own mission in Congo, you can't have peace without justice." Even though the number of deaths in the Congo has almost reached six millions over the last ten years, the deaths have not gained international media attention like other mass killings in other countries, yet it has been the 2nd worst war in modern history. It is not clear why the international media has been treating a war criminal suspect like Nkunda as their hero celebrity for the millions of females, from infants to old who are being raped and mutilated in the Congo of his criminal activities", added Mr. Sekombo.

Sorry, the UN knows there are no charges and there is no one to arrest NKUNDA. And the UN knows it's got to arrest so many people (other than CNDP guys) in DRC over war crimes and genocide etc... So all the best to INGA moves.

That aside, nobody should get nervous! Especially the CNDP guys should keep their head cool! Nairobi does mean a big step in the Peace Process this blog claims to support wholeheartedely. But plenty of dangers lying ahead. The "vultures" cannot give up so easily. We are off for rounds and rounds of the so called negotiations which will tend to delay any committment of Kinshasa and her sponsors to face historic responsibilities before the Congolese people, the Great Lakes Region and the whole of Sub Saharian Africa for that matter! Long life to the peace to come and its real Crusaders, borrowing the concept from a reader, haha!

Ben Rachid

Reply to Antoinette & Others...

Like it or not, Nkundabatware is war criminal, responsible for rapes and genocide in DR Congo.

Every Dog have is day, and Nkundabatware (a tutsi from Rwanda) will be arrested soon!

Kinshasa is trying to buy time, cause they know that they would have sufficient time to regroup and prepare themselves to launch a final attack on CNDP of Nkundabatware, a tutsi from Rwanda.

Don't be excited, the war is not over yet. Nairobi "Negotiations", is just a manoeuvre to allow FARDC to get ready for what is coming ahead.

Remember André Flahaut comment at Colette Braeckman blog, I quote: "l’armée congolaise est en construction...

So, the international community have noticed that there was some loop hall in the Congolese army, and they are filling those gaps by providing what was missing... Get the picture, Antoinette ?

The worst is to come in the near future.

"We wont let Nkundabatware [a tutsi from rwanda] and tutsis from Rwanda to control our country, DR Congo."

We will destroy you tutsis and Nkundabatware soon, you'll see Antoinette.

This war is not over yet!

In the INGA posting, a simple swap of identity between Nkunda and Kabila could really be more fair.
Even Kabila is a kind of a prisoner of circumstances. He was chosen as the political successor of his poor father by Ole Kabila's killers.
More, I think everything has been said on FARDC for their high criminality than will cause their high officers to be sued when this nightmare will end. These men should think about it for soon if they didn't yet.
The INGA petition against Nkunda as a person, a Congolese citizen, is totally a nonsense and irresponsible without any proved and legal charges. Living in USA, INGA people should learn and understand the American (USA) liberation war against the British power and mostly the war against Nazi and Fascist powers.

Nkunda did what regularly is named a legitimate action of self defense. As a man, a true patriot and a regular high Congolese officer, he had to fight and defend his family, his fellow compatriots and his country against FDLR and their supporters that aren't mentioned and not quoted by INGA representatives, and against those politicians who sold their country to the enemies of Africa.

Inga people should avoid behaving like those humanitarian NGO's if they really are true Africans and not Americans or Europeans devoted to maintain Africa under their satanic rules. Shame on them ...
They should understand that FDLR people have been kidnapped by French troops to recycle them in a new war against Tutsi wherever they are, including in DRC. This has as consequence, the destruction of the KIVU region, one of the most developed if not the sole of DRC.

They should study and understand that some European countries organized so said democratic elections in DRC just to be sure Joseph Kabila is the next president and being their devoted puppet. On one official visit, this guy even managed to contradict Lumumba's independence speech to please the Belgian authorities, though this wasn't necessary at all. There was no democratic challenge facing that other Belgian victim like his father.

But let's have a look on what is the real situation in the whole DRC from the president's election till now? It's a huge disaster everywhere you go.
Who is to blame? Surely, not Nkunda who couldn't be responsible for the general DRC nightmare. All what he succeeded to achieve is to reduce the FARDC and FDLR impact in KIVU. So, who then is to blame for killings and economy destruction in other DRC regions?

Last but not least, INGA people like mentioning many disastrous figures including number of deaths like six millions in DRC over the last ten years. This represents about 500 thousands monthly and 16 thousands per day. If they are not mad or biased, they should explain how they are assessing it and how it's under Nkunda responsibility.
As far as I understand this INGA rhetoric, they have a special religious and political background close to French and other close ethnic groups.

The last posting is from me. I forgot to mention it.
By the way, Don should be aware that Flahaut and Crem, the Belgian ministers, are unable to change the DRC situation without EU support.

It is good to hear DON's warmongering sentences again and his hopes. But this poor chap repeats the old rhetoric of Hitler. Perhaps DON's eyes did not work, when uncle Ho made the Yanks flee from Saigon from the roof of US ambassy. Tons of agent orange and napalm could not prevent Vietcong from doing this. It's ok bringing more arms and amuninution via Kinshasa. But as a CNDP spokesman said, all this arms land at disposal of CNDP.
So we conclude that not arms and amunition decide a war as Hitler thought but the morale. This as can be seen lacks completely with Joseph Kabila's troops. They fight each other, they loot and rape, they invent enemies, they boast, as could be seen lately, in 48 hours Nkunda is finished. But since than have elapsed two weeks und now Joseph Kabila wants to negotiate. Question again: about his burial?
History has shown mercenairies have a one way gut und once as Hitler shot himself in his head there was the only question of unconditional surrender. By the way Hitler was elected too. So this attempts of scape goating Nkunda for the atrocities of Joseph Kabila and brush up his image by INGA are useless. All this struggle is nolonger a matter of just Kivu, but from Gaza to Soveto, from Nairobi to Nigeria or Somalia the flame of Uhuru has become a giant fire. And even in Europe, in Iceland the vikings demand the head of bankrupt state. And as it seems there are countries to follow, wait and see.

Don Quichota may be right talking about new weapons and ammunitions arriving in DRC. Why not? Fools never change up their mind ... since they are unable.

Let us hope that Kabila and his fellows won't try again the last chance of winning the war against Nkunda and his subtle troops. This isn't a simple Poker game with the last play for the road.
Otherwise, he will finish exactly as Habyarimana did, with one or two French missiles, and was dropped like a chief in the rubbish basket of history.
Actually, he has no true alternative because he also can finish like his father, Lumumba or other victims that tried to escape their masta's.
This remember me the film of Kunta Kinte trying to escape his masta's.

I repeat, only other African countries can save this situation by covering those talks and by asking the international community to stop their interference and their irrelevant presence in DRC.

Bagambiki.

BASTA!!!!
Nkunda might finish the same way as well. Who told you that General Nkunda was GOD?

Anonymous said...

For sure Nkunda is no God but like you and me, a simple human being but blessed by God.
Let's say he has his destiny; again like you and me. But, he is really tough and is a reliable man. He knows quite well he may be killed any time by those Kabila's sponsors. Kabila is blessed by those sponsors and is relying on them to survive since they need him and may kill him otherwise.

Nkunda as an true African, as a proud Congolese patriot and Officer, as a happy father and husband, as good fellow, he is a good example for the African youth and for those respective characters.

He recalls me Sankara and many other proud African leaders but in more effective manners: less theories and more practicals.
Though, he hasn't yet special speaker's skills, he made me think about the Bob Marley's song:"Get up, Stand up, Stand up for your rights", etc.
That's what he did, straight.

If we could have ten folds of such a man or woman in each country of the African continent, Africa won't need anymore Karel de Gucht's Belgium, French or Chinese for help.

Bagambiki.
